Project Overview

Punya.ngo is a donation platform for cow welfare in India. Donors browse gaushalas (cow shelters) and pick a seva such as food, shelter, medical care or a festival offering, donate online in a few taps, and then see every contribution recorded in the Punya app with daily photos and updates from the gaushala itself. Key features: gaushala directory with location and profile pages; a catalogue of seva options with fixed-amount cards (for example Rs 751 prasad, Rs 2100 family gau seva, Rs 1100 Gopashtami special donation); online donation checkout; a transparency section showing where money goes; Gaumata and Our Work content sections; blog; bilingual Hindi and English presentation; and a companion mobile app for donors and shelters. Self-hosted on AWS Mumbai with PostgreSQL behind Cloudflare, with sign-in and account handling through TinTorch Account.

My Role

Designed and built the whole platform as the sole developer, from the brand and page design through the seva catalogue, donation checkout and gaushala reporting, and I run the infrastructure it lives on. Also handled canonical domain and redirect hygiene across the NGO's domains in Cloudflare. Result: a working, transparent donation channel for the gaushalas, where a donor can give in under a minute and later see photos and updates of the seva they funded, which is what builds repeat giving for a small NGO.
